Implementation of Second Wave TKA on Day Four Proceeds Smoothly, Joined by 1.5 Million Participants
The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has reported that the implementation of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) for the second wave up to the fourth day has proceeded smoothly throughout Indonesia. This smoothness is seen as evidence of the system’s readiness and the solid support from various parties in organising the national-scale education assessment.
Based on preliminary reports on Friday (10/4), the TKA implementation on the fourth day commenced simultaneously at 07:00 WIB until 15:30 WIB. Thousands of educational units successfully conducted the exam, divided into four sessions with a highly significant total participation of participants.
The Head of the Basic and Secondary Education Policy Agency (BKPDM), Toni Toharudin, emphasised that this success is the result of meticulous planning and comprehensive technical readiness. According to him, the flexibility of the implementation modes is a key factor in addressing Indonesia’s geographical challenges.
“The smooth implementation of TKA in various regions reflects the technical readiness and meticulous planning from educational units. The flexibility of implementation modes provided also serves as the key to addressing diverse field conditions,” said Toni on Friday (10/4).
Kemendikdasmen provides leeway for schools to choose implementation modes according to available infrastructure:
In addition to modes, educational units are also allowed to choose independent implementation schemes or to join other schools with more complete facilities. This ensures that no students are left behind in participating in this assessment.
Toni Toharudin also extended high appreciation to local governments and all stakeholders for the synergy that has been established. He hopes this ongoing support continues until the entire TKA series concludes.
“The synergy that has been built becomes an important foundation in ensuring every stage of TKA implementation runs according to regulations. Continuous support from all elements is the key to maintaining the quality of implementation until the end of the activity,” he concluded.
