Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Manpower Yassierli has officially closed the implementation of the National Internship 2025 Phase I programme, which has been running since 20 October 2025 until 19 April 2026. “I certainly congratulate the young participants of National Internship Batch I who have completed it and have been offered jobs by companies,” said Minister Yassierli during the closing of National Internship 2025 Phase I, which was held in a hybrid format in Jakarta on Friday. He stated that the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is currently calculating how many National Internship participants were ultimately recruited by the companies or industries where they interned for approximately six months. “Those outside the ministries and agencies, in the private sector, based on our monitoring, the response from companies has been very good. Some have recruited 20% of the interns, some 30%, and we are currently collecting the data,” Yassierli said. He also hopes that participants who have completed the National Internship programme can obtain better job opportunities, supported by various other government efforts, including the competency certification programme. “To the young participants once again, remain optimistic, stay motivated, because our journey does not end here; there is a certification programme awaiting. Take advantage of this opportunity for success, insya Allah, for all of you in the future,” said the Minister. Meanwhile, the National Coordinator of the University Graduate Internship Programme (Head of Barenbang) of Kemnaker, Anwar Sanusi, said that 1,185 companies participated as internship organisers and involved 5,267 mentors. Furthermore, based on the comprehensive selection process conducted, 14,952 participants were selected for National Internship Phase 1A and 1,160 for Phase 1B, totalling 16,112. “However, during the process, the number of active participants decreased, so the number of active participants in the first batch was recorded as 11,110 for 1A, and 839 for 1B, totalling 11,949 participants,” said Anwar. Participants who complete the six-month programme will receive an internship certificate, while those who participate for more than three months but less than six months will receive a certificate of participation. For participants, these documents are important as initial provisions to demonstrate experience and work readiness more convincingly.
