Immigration Regional Office West Java Operations Continue Normally Following KPK Sting Operation Against Head of Office

Activities at the West Java Regional Immigration Office continue to proceed normally following the arrest of the Regional Head, Jaya Saputra, by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) alongside other immigration officials in Jakarta. Employees at the regional office are reportedly unaware of the specific details regarding the case facing their leader, though it is noted that the matter does not pertain to services provided in West Java.

An observation of the West Java Regional Immigration Office on Thursday (4/6/2026) showed that the situation remains normal with business as usual. The office building is integrated with the Regional Offices for Human Rights and Law.

While staff were seen moving through the shared building, security personnel requested that the media limit coverage to the front lobby and restricted access to the interior. Security staff stated that office activities are proceeding as normal.

When approached for comment, Danis Panca, the Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Immigration Office, confirmed the news regarding the KPK’s sting operation against the Regional Head. However, he stated that he did not yet know the specifics of the case.

“The news is true; the Regional Head is in Jakarta. Regarding the investigation or the nature of the case, we do not yet have further information as he cannot be reached at this time,” he said during confirmation on Thursday (4/6/2026).

Nevertheless, he ensured that the case facing the West Java Regional Immigration Head is not related to immigration services or administration in West Java. He noted that services currently continue as usual.

“We ensure that the case is not related to immigration administrative services, so that services continue to operate normally,” he added.
