Immigration Minister Asks Staff to Support Legal Processes at the KPK
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Agus Andrianto, has requested that all of his staff be accommodating and support the legal processes involving officials within the Directorate General of Immigration.
Agus stated that his staff respect and fully support the legal processes carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and are committed to being cooperative.
“We are obliged to support the ongoing legal processes, and I ask all parties to be accommodating in supporting these processes,” Agus said in a statement in Jakarta, Thursday.
He said that his institution is also opening access to data, documents, and information needed by investigators to accelerate the disclosure of cases thoroughly and transparently.
“What is happening now is also a momentum for us to improve and strengthen immigration governance to be cleaner, more transparent, and more accountable,” he said.
The Ministry of Immigration and Corrections has also suspended officials implicated in legal cases at the KPK from their positions as a form of internal disciplinary enforcement.
According to Agus, this step is taken to ensure that the legal process can run without obstacles, while also maintaining the smooth functioning of public services.
“We also ensure that immigration services to the public continue to run normally in all service units and are not affected by the ongoing legal process,” Agus affirmed.
