Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Class I Special Operations Immigration Office in North Jakarta examined 230 foreign teaching staff at three international schools in the Pantai Indah Kapuk area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, as part of a joint operation by the Foreigners Supervision Team (Tim Pora) to ensure compliance with residence permits.

“The joint operation was carried out at three international standard schools that employ teaching staff from various countries,” said the Head of Intelligence and Documentation Section of the Class I Special Operations Immigration Office in North Jakarta, Widya Anusa Brata, in Jakarta on Friday.

He stated that the activity aimed to ensure that every foreigner (WNA) working at these schools carries out activities in accordance with the residence permits they hold.

He mentioned that the three schools visited are located in the Pantai Indah Kapuk Penjaringan area, North Jakarta, namely International Tzu Chi School, International Bina Bangsa School, and Singapore School Pantai Indah Kapuk.

He said that officers checked the teachers at each school and found no immigration violations.

According to him, during the immigration supervision, 153 teaching staff were recorded at International Tzu Chi School.

There were 13 teaching staff at Singapore School Pantai Indah Kapuk and 64 at International Bina Bangsa School.

He explained that based on the examination results, no immigration violations were found committed by the teaching staff at the three schools.

The teaching staff at International Tzu Chi School are mostly from the Philippines, while those at Singapore School Pantai Indah Kapuk and International Bina Bangsa School are mostly from China.

He emphasised that the Class I Special Operations Immigration Office in North Jakarta is committed to continuously enhancing supervision of the presence and activities of foreigners in its working area.

“We ensure that immigration law enforcement runs consistently, professionally, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations,” he said.
