The Class I TPI Immigration Office in Gorontalo has taken deportation action against four Chinese (Tiongkok) nationals. The four foreigners, initials DA, CC, MZ, and FG, are suspected of conducting soil sampling activities at a mining location in the Buol area, Central Sulawesi Province. Subsequently, these soil samples were brought to Gorontalo. The deportation resulted from Operation Wirawaspada 2026, organised by the Directorate General of Immigration simultaneously from 7 to 10 April 2026 across all regions of Indonesia. The Head of the Class I TPI Immigration Office in Gorontalo, Josua Pahala Martua, explained that the deportation action is part of Immigration’s commitment to maintaining order and ensuring that every foreign national complies with applicable legal provisions in Indonesia. The foreigners entered Indonesian territory using Visit Visas and Business Visas. Josua stated that every foreigner in Indonesian territory is required to use residence permits according to their purpose and not engage in activities contrary to applicable laws and regulations. The administrative immigration action in the form of deporting the four Chinese nationals took place on Tuesday (21/4). The deportation process was carried out via Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, Jakarta, as part of efforts to enforce immigration law in the Gorontalo Province area.
