Immigration Generates Rp52 Trillion in Investment Realisation from Golden Visa Issuance

This policy has had a real impact on the national economy, with investment realisations by Golden Visa holders surpassing Rp 52.1 trillion, said Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko, in his address at the Golden Visa Socialisation event in the Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (21 May 2026). Hendarsam also disclosed that non-tax state revenues (PNBP) were received from Golden Visa issuances. PNBP from Golden Visa issuances amounted to Rp 16.3 billion. ‘On the other hand, the Non-Tax State Revenue or PNBP from Golden Visa issuances has also reached more than Rp 16.3 billion. This shows that the Golden Visa policy not only facilitates investment but also provides a direct contribution to state revenue,’ he said. Furthermore, Hendarsam revealed that 1,274 Golden Visas have been issued. He noted that the largest recipients come from the United States, followed by China, Taiwan, Australia, Russia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Japan, and finally South Korea, he said. ‘Based on data from the Directorate General of Immigration as of 18 May 2026, the number of Golden Visa issuances has reached 1,274. Recipients come from countries such as the United States at the top, followed by China, Taiwan, Australia, Russia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Japan, and finally South Korea,’ he said. Hendarsam emphasised that the Golden Visa programme is the government’s effort to promote high-quality investment. The programme is also expected to strengthen Indonesia’s competitiveness at the global level. ‘The Directorate General of Immigration offers competitive immigration facilities for investors, global business players, world figures, the diaspora, and international talent through the Golden Visa policy. This policy represents the government’s commitment to promoting higher-quality investment, knowledge transfer, job creation, and strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness on the global stage,’ he said.
