Immigration Directorate General Appoints 13 New High-Ranking Officials, Including Replacements for KPK-Linked Posts
Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko has inaugurated 13 high-ranking immigration officials for various regions, including the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration for West Java and the Class I Special Immigration Office for West Jakarta. Hendarsam stated that several of the appointed officials are filling Echelon II positions that became vacant due to cases handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). “So, 13 officials were inaugurated, some filling vacancies and some being rotated. We are conducting a periodic refresh,” Hendarsam said after the inauguration ceremony at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections building in Jakarta on Monday. “There are definitely two vacancies and one retirement related to the issues we followed up on in West Jakarta and West Java,” he added. For these high-level appointments, Hendarsam explained that a strict selection process was conducted for the civil servants (ASN) who would assume the new roles. This selection aims to ensure that the chosen officials truly possess good performance and integrity to prevent similar cases from recurring. “We have an internal process called PDK 1. We carry out a selection process, meaning that ASNs who formally meet the credit requirements are also profiled for material requirements,” he explained. He hopes the new officials can serve the public and restore public trust in immigration. Hendarsam reminded the new officials that the positions are a mandate requiring heavy responsibility from the holders. The 13 high-ranking officials inaugurated within the Directorate General of Immigration consist of 11 heads of regional offices, one head of an immigration office, and one head of an immigration detention centre. Syahrioma Delavino was inaugurated as Head of the West Java Regional Office, replacing Jaya Saputra who was arrested by the KPK. Rakha Sukma Purnama was appointed as Head of the Class I Special Immigration Office for West Jakarta, replacing Ronald Arman Abdullah, who was also arrested by the KPK. Rakha previously served as Head of the Tanjungpinang Immigration Detention Centre, a position now filled by Erybowo Radyan Asmono, who was also inaugurated today. Other appointments include Junita Sitorus as Head of the Bangka Belitung Regional Office, Saroha Manullang as Head of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Office, Barron Ichsan as Head of the Banten Regional Office, Nurudin as Head of the East Kalimantan Regional Office, Arvin Gumilang as Head of the West Sumatra Regional Office, Yuni Santi Nurani as Head of the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Regional Office, Azwar Anas as Head of the Maluku Regional Office, Alfisyahrin as Head of the Bengkulu Regional Office, and Victo Manurung as Head of the North Maluku Regional Office.
