Immigration Closes Services Until 24 March, International Crossings Remain Monitored 24 Hours
The Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Ditjenim Kemenimipas) is temporarily closing immigration services during the holidays and collective leave for Nyepi Day and Eid al-Fitr. Services will be closed from today until 24 March 2026. Quoted from the official Ditjenim Kemenimipas website, Wednesday (18/3/2026), immigration office services will resume operations on 25 March 2026. Although administrative services at immigration offices are on holiday, monitoring and checks at international crossings will continue normally. “Arrival and departure areas at international airports and seaports will remain operational 24 hours. Visa on Arrival services will also remain open to serve foreign tourists,” explained the Acting Director General of Immigration, Yuldi Yusman. Yuldi also stated that in cases of emergency passport issuance, such as for unavoidable medical purposes, applicants can contact the hotline of the nearest immigration office. He urged the public to monitor the latest information on immigration services via the official website or official social media accounts of the Directorate General of Immigration. “Don’t forget to always monitor the latest information through the official website www.imigrasi.go.id and immigration social media to stay updated during this long holiday period,” Yuldi concluded. Based on the Joint Ministerial Decree of 3 Ministers on National Holidays and Collective Leave 2026, long holidays for Eid al-Fitr with Nyepi Day have been set.
