JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Directorate General of Immigration (Ditjen Imigrasi) has secured 346 foreign nationals (WNA) who violated immigration regulations during Operation Wira Waspada from 7 to 11 April 2026.

Immigration Director General Hendarsam Marantoko stated that among this number, the most immigration violators were from China, totalling 183 individuals.

“The apprehended foreign nationals come from various countries, with the highest number from the People’s Republic of China (183 people), followed by Pakistan (21 people), Nigeria (20 people), Japan (13 people), and several other countries such as Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and India,” said Hendarsam at the Immigration office in Jakarta on Monday (13/4/2026).

“This is because there are more foreign workers (TKA),” he added.

He explained that the operation’s results showed that hundreds of foreign nationals committed the most violations in the form of misuse of residence permits.

In addition, officers also found other violations, namely unreported address changes, lack of valid documents, fictitious investors, and overstays.

Hendarsam mentioned that Operation Wira Waspada was carried out with a comprehensive and data-based approach to ensure effective supervision.

Furthermore, Hendarsam emphasised that strengthening supervision remains a priority amid efforts to improve the quality of immigration services.

“We continue to encourage improvements in the efficiency and ease of immigration services, but this does not mean there is tolerance for violations. Immigration continues to ensure that supervision is carried out proactively and responsively, with quick and precise steps in addressing every violation found,” he stated.
