Immigration and nationalism

Immigration and nationalism

There has been a series of letters about me and my family. Yes, my wife is Indonesian and my son is half-and-half. This is not going to change. Even if my wife is forced to move to America with me, even if she becomes an American citizen, she will always be an Indonesian; I'll always be an American and my son will always be a pleasant mixture. I hope my boy will grow to be proud of his dual heritage.

The government is always promoting nationalism. Isn't this ideal contradicted by immigration's policy of forcing good Indonesians out? What kind of threat do I pose anyway?
