Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ) has successfully secured funding for the 2026 Student Organisation Capacity Strengthening Programme (PPK Ormawa). This decision is based on the Decree of the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Number 1752/DST/B2/DT.01.01/2026 regarding 2026 PPK Ormawa Funding.

The student organisation awarded the funding is the Muhammadiyah Students Association (IMM) Commissariat of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UMJ. The IMM FISIP UMJ team secured the grant with a proposal titled DAON WIRA (Desa Daon Wirausaha): Transforming Local Products Through Sustainable Village Economic Strengthening.

Supervising Lecturer, Nur Muhamad Iqbal, explained that the programme was born from concerns regarding the vast, yet underutilised, economic potential of Daon Village. He noted that the village possesses various business groups that still face challenges in organisational management, product marketing, business innovation, and sustainable financial management.

“This programme will provide tangible benefits to the village community, ranging from professional management of social media accounts and marketplaces to the development of more innovative and attractive product packaging, as well as obtaining business legality such as Home Industry Food (PIRT) numbers and Halal certification,” he said.

Iqber emphasised that the team will continue to oversee the implementation of the DAON WIRA programme as a commitment to its sustainability. Mentorship will be provided through social media management, the use of paid advertisements on e-commerce platforms such as Tokopedia and Shopee, and the expansion of marketing networks to increase the competitiveness and purchasing power of local products.

“We hope the DAON WIRA programme can encourage the economic independence of the community so that Daon Village can develop into a self-sufficient and sustainable entrepreneurial village,” he added.

The General Chairperson of IMM FISIP UMJ, Angga Satria Winangku, explained that the programme will be implemented in Daon Village, Rajeg District, Tangerang Regency. The programme offers integrated assistance through three main pillars: DAON WIRA for strengthening group institutions, SAKU DESA for financial management and business bookkeeping, and GEMAR DESA, which focuses on product development, packaging, branding, and business legality.

“The innovation we offer is building a more organised business system so that the community is not only capable of producing but also capable of managing and developing their businesses independently,” he stated.

Angga expressed hope that the programme would not merely be a ceremonial activity but would bring real benefits and change to the people of Daon Village. For IMM, community service is a way to implement the values taught within the organisation, demonstrating how members can engage with the community to provide solutions to the challenges they face.
