IMF boss to visit Asia
WASHINGTON (AFP): International Monetary Fund managing director Horst Koehler will start a five-nation Asian tour May 31 to discuss IMF reform measures, the Fund announced here Tuesday.
Koehler, who took over the top IMF job earlier this month, will be in Bangkok on March 31, Beijing on June 1, Seoul on June 3, Jakarta on June 4 and New Delhi on June 5.
Koehler last week visited Latin America and also plans a similar trip to Africa, for which no date has been set.
