The circulation of illegal products that do not meet safety standards remains a challenge in the domestic market. This situation underscores the importance of strengthening official distribution channels to ensure the public obtains products with guaranteed legality, while supporting government oversight of goods on the market. As part of this effort, PT Delta Sukses Teknologi has begun expanding the distribution of its open-system DWAY products into modern retail networks. Starting in July 2026, the products will be marketed gradually through Alfamart outlets, expanding its official distribution network to more than 6,700 points of sale, including official booths, vape stores, and modern retailers. The company has also introduced a store locator feature on its official website to help consumers easily find the nearest authorised seller. This move is expected to make it easier for the public to obtain products through legal and verified distribution channels. Commercial and Corporate Director of PT Delta Sukses Teknologi, Ira Octaviera, stated that the distribution expansion is part of an effort to strengthen the governance of legal and traceable product distribution. “The easier it is for the public to obtain products through official channels, the smaller the opportunity for illegal products to circulate in the market. Our presence in modern retail also provides certainty regarding the authenticity of products purchased by consumers,” Ira said. According to her, strengthening official distribution aligns with the government’s efforts to increase supervision of the alternative tobacco product supply chain, ensuring it operates in accordance with applicable regulations. The wider the access to products marketed through official channels, the greater the contribution to suppressing the circulation of illegal products while creating a more orderly and responsible industry ecosystem. In addition to expanding its distribution network, the company is also promoting consumer education to encourage more careful purchasing. Consumers are urged to ensure products are obtained from official sales locations and to check two key indicators: the official DWAY logo printed on the cartridge and the intact excise stamp with the latest fiscal year on the liquid packaging. Ira explained that these simple steps can help consumers avoid illegal products or mixed liquids that potentially do not meet safety standards. “Checking the physical logo and excise stamp is a form of self-protection for consumers. Moreover, purchasing through official channels also ensures the product has fulfilled its tax obligations to the state,” she said. PT Delta Sukses Teknologi also enforces a policy of selling only to consumers aged 21 and above. The company views the implementation of official distribution, consumer education, and regulatory compliance as part of an effort to create healthier business competition while strengthening the governance of the alternative tobacco product industry in Indonesia. Through this distribution network expansion, the company hopes the public will find it easier to obtain products through official channels, thereby reducing the risk of illegal product circulation while simultaneously strengthening consumer protection and compliance with national regulations.
