Illegal Tramadol Transaction Opposite TNI AU Headquarters Goes Viral Again, Now 4 Suspects Arrested
A video of an illegal controlled drug transaction opposite the TNI AU headquarters on Jalan Raya Pondok Gede, East Jakarta, has gone viral on social media again. This time, several drug dealers were apprehended by the TNI AU Military Police Unit (Satpom).
“In a territorial surveillance operation on Thursday (9/4/2026), personnel from Satpom Lanud Halim successfully secured a suspected perpetrator believed to be conducting illegal sales of Schedule G controlled drugs,” stated Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma on its Instagram account @lanud_halim_perdanakusuma on Friday (10/4/2026).
The suspect was arrested by Satpom Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma in the Jalan Raya Pondok Gede area, East Jakarta, directly in front of the Air Force Reconstruction Unit (Satrekonau) headquarters. Satpom Lanud Halim was deployed in response to the disruptive activities of the controlled drug dealers affecting the community.
The enforcement action was based on public reports suspecting sales of Schedule G controlled drugs, specifically Tramadol, in front of a pawnshop on Jalan Raya Pondok Gede, directly across from the Satrekon AU headquarters.
“Following up on the report, Satpom Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma personnel immediately proceeded to the location to conduct observation and surveillance of the suspected transaction activities,” it said.
Once confirmed, Satpom Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma personnel secured the perpetrators and evidence for further examination and investigation in accordance with applicable procedures. From the initial examination, Satpom Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma secured evidence consisting of 98 Tramadol tablets and 55 Eksimer tablets.
“After investigating the four perpetrators, no involvement of TNI or TNI AU personnel was found,” it said.
Subsequently, the four suspects and evidence were handed over to the Cipayung Sector Police on Friday (10/4) at 00:30 WIB for further processing in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
Previous Viral Tramadol Transaction
Previously, a video circulated showing several individuals transacting Tramadol controlled drugs on Jalan Raya Pondok Gede, Cipayung, East Jakarta. In the video, the sales of Tramadol were conducted via direct or cash on delivery (COD) transactions, but covertly.
In the video, the recorder warned those present at the location not to sell Tramadol anymore. The recorder then left the transaction site.
The TNI AU responded to the viral video. The TNI AU emphasised that there was no connection to the Tramadol controlled drug sales activities occurring opposite the Satrekonau headquarters located on Jalan Raya Pondok Gede, Halim Perdanakusuma, Cipayung, East Jakarta.
The TNI AU clarified that the suspected Tramadol controlled drug transactions were outside the Satrekon area. They also stated that the illegal sale of controlled drugs constitutes a legal violation.
“The TNI AU does not tolerate any form of legal violation, including the distribution of controlled drugs without permission,” it said.
“The TNI AU fully supports law enforcement efforts in addressing all forms of unauthorised controlled drug distribution that harms the public,” it added.
