Illegal Stay in Lakey Beach, Dompu: Russian Man Deported
The Bima Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office has expelled a foreign national from Russia. The foreign man, initialled AZ (44), was deported for using fake documents and staying illegally in the tourist area of Lakey Beach, Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). “AZ was proven to have violated Article 116 in conjunction with Article 71 letter b of Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration,” said the Head of the Bima Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office, Joko Widodo, in his statement on Wednesday (13/5/2026). Joko revealed that AZ was previously secured at Clean Homestay, Hu’u Subdistrict, Dompu, on Friday (8/5). According to him, AZ was uncooperative during interrogation by officers. “During the examination, AZ was uncooperative and could not show valid travel documents or passport,” he explained. In addition, AZ is said to have used fake documents and statements to stay in the Lakey Beach area. According to Joko, the Russian citizen had violated the provisions of Article 123 letter a of Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration. “AZ also used false statements when obtaining a visa,” Joko added. Joko said AZ was deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, on Monday (11/5). He reminded foreign citizens residing in Indonesian territory to continue to follow the applicable legal rules. “The Bima Immigration Office has also proposed a blacklisting action so that AZ cannot re-enter Indonesian territory for a certain period,” he concluded.
