Illegal Hard Drug Seller Disguised as Plastic Store in Kalideres, West Jakarta Arrested
Jakarta, KOMPAS.com - Police have uncovered a case of illegal distribution of Schedule G hard drugs and psychotropics in Kalideres, West Jakarta, disguised as a plastic store. During the operation, officers arrested a man identified as A, alias Boy (26), at a plastic store on Daan Mogot Street, Kalideres, on Wednesday (6 May 2026). Kalideres Police Station Chief Kompol Rihold Sihotang explained the case began with a public report regarding suspected unlicensed sale of hard drugs. Meanwhile, Kalideres Police Sub-District Investigation Unit Chief AKP Rachmad Wibowo stated that during a search, officers found various types of unlicensed hard drugs and psychotropics. “From the suspect, officers seized 701 tramadol tablets, 432 hexymer tablets, along with various other psychotropic drugs such as alprazolam, diazepam, lorazepam, clonazepam, and methylphenidate,” said Rachmad. The suspect’s phone contained various social media chat evidence with buyers. “The suspect and evidence have been taken to Kalideres Police Station for further questioning and legal proceedings,” he added. The suspect faces charges under Article 435 in conjunction with Article 436(2) of Indonesia’s Health Law No. 17 of 2023, as well as Article 60(1)(b) and/or Article 62 of Psychotropic Drugs Law No. 5 of 1997.
