Illegal commuters
Illegal commuters
still rampant
From Warta Kota
The country's railway company recently conducted raids
intended to put street hawkers, buskers and non-paying train
riders out of business, but apparently to no avail as the hawkers
non-paying train riders are still a problem. These illegal
commuters are sometimes seen playing hide-and-seek with the train
employees checking passengers' tickets.
Some of these illegal commuters are quite helpful, as they
sweep the train cars, although they ask for money when they are
finished. Perhaps their presence could be of benefit to the
railway company, as long as the company gave them some direction,
such as where they should dump the garbage, how they sweep, etc.
What I see is that, after sweeping the train cars, these
people just throw the garbage out or pile it up in a corner. As a
result, the trash will just rescatter when the wind blows or when
some train passenger unintentionally kicks the pile. This will
result in a cloud of dust.
