IKPI Urges Businesses to Adapt Amid Tax System Transformation

Ketua Umum Ikatan Konsultan Pajak Indonesia (IKPI) Vaudy Starworld has stressed the importance for businesses to continuously adapt to the evolving tax regulatory and administrative landscape. Speaking at a tax seminar organised by the IKPI Sleman branch, he highlighted the full implementation of the Core Tax Administration System (CTAS) and derivative regulations from the Tax Regulation Harmonisation Law (HPP) as key drivers of change. These developments require businesses to constantly update their understanding to fulfil tax obligations correctly and avoid missteps. Vaudy stated that tax seminars serve as a vital platform to provide valid insights to business actors, particularly members of Kadin Sleman and HIPMI Sleman, enabling them to accurately grasp various tax policy developments. ‘Business actors need to obtain correct insights from experts. In this way, tax compliance can be viewed as an asset and investment for business continuity, not as a burden,’ he said. He added that IKPI, as a professional organisation of tax consultants, is ready to be a strategic partner for the business world through continuous education and mentoring. Collaboration between tax consultants, business actors, and the Directorate General of Taxes will encourage increased voluntary compliance, ultimately supporting state revenue. Vaudy also invited entrepreneurs, especially the younger generation in HIPMI, to make tax awareness part of implementing good corporate governance (GCG) from an early stage. ‘Tax awareness built from the start will strengthen corporate governance and support healthy and sustainable business growth,’ he said. He affirmed that IKPI will continue to strengthen its role in assisting the business world in facing various tax dynamics through ongoing education, socialisation, and consultation programmes.
