IKN Spokesperson Troy Pantouw Passes Away at ASN Flat

The Spokesperson for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority, Troy Harold Yohanes Pantouw, passed away on Saturday at his residence in the ASN 3 Tower 6 flat, Kota Nusantara. The cause of death was confirmed as natural. Troy, who also served as a staff member to the Head of the IKN Authority for Public Communication, was one of the early pioneers of the new capital. Deputy for Development Control at the IKN Authority, Thomas Umbu Pati Tena Bolodadi, who lived directly opposite Troy’s room, confirmed that the deceased was taken to the hospital after being found unresponsive. ‘He was taken to the hospital around 12.45 WITA and immediately examined by a medical team. At 14.25 WITA, the doctor confirmed he had passed away from natural causes,’ Thomas said. Concern arose when his personal driver repeatedly tried to contact him before departure time without success. Upon forcing entry into the locked room, they found him lying on his bed. The family confirmed that Troy had a medical history of hypertension and took daily medication. Troy was a key figure in the early days of the IKN project, having served since the physical construction began in 2021. During the initial phase, when the IKN area was still an industrial timber plantation with no office facilities, he and his colleagues had to commute daily from Balikpapan, a two-hour drive each way, to oversee the strategic national project.
