IKN Development Continues as WIKA Accelerates Judicial Complex Road Construction
PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting strategic infrastructure development in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), including the construction of the Judicial Complex Area Road, a key component of the Core Government Area (KIPP) development.
As of May 2026, the project has reached 19.35% completion, surpassing the planned 18.29% progress, resulting in a positive deviation of +1.6%. The project is scheduled for completion by 31 December 2027.
Current works are progressing in parallel across various segments, including geotextile installation, earth filling, Multi Utility Tunnel (MUT) structures, box culverts, bridge structures, rigid pavement, and drainage systems.
WIKA Corporate Secretary Ngatemin stated that the positive progress reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining quality, productivity, and timely on-site execution.
“WIKA is ensuring the Judicial Complex Area Road construction stays on target through strengthened coordination, effective work methods, and continuous quality and cost control. This infrastructure is vital for enhancing connectivity within IKN’s government area,” Ngatemin said.
The company is also applying several construction innovations and methods to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency. These include robotic total stations and drone photogrammetry for high-precision construction data acquisition.
Additionally, WIKA uses sliding formwork for MUT works to improve construction efficiency. For structural works, a cooling pipe system is employed in mass concrete pile cap casting to control temperature, reduce thermal cracking risks, and enhance structural quality. The project also implements Load Scanner technology to digitally monitor material inflow and outflow, ensuring accurate measurements, data transparency, and effective material control.
Despite project dynamics, the main challenge is rising construction material costs due to global geopolitical conditions, affecting main materials, logistics, and subcontractor services. To mitigate this, WIKA continues optimising planning, cost control, and execution efficiency to meet deadlines.
The Judicial Complex Area Road construction aims to improve connectivity between vital judicial zones, streamline movement for residents, staff, and users, and strengthen integration of government functions in IKN. Through this project, WIKA supports the development of reliable, integrated, and sustainable infrastructure in the Nusantara Capital City.
