IKN Ceremonial Plaza Proves Brantas Abipraya's World-Class Landscape Capability
PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) has secured the Honour Award at the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards (MLAA) 2026 for its strategic project, the Ceremonial Plaza of Nusantara Capital City (IKN), in the Landscape Design Award (Professional Category). This prestigious award acknowledges the successful creation of a public space that integrates national values, environmental sustainability, and social functions for the community.
Corporate Secretary of Brantas Abipraya, Dian Sovana, stated that the award was given to projects deemed capable of presenting high-quality landscape design, considering aspects of aesthetics, function, sustainability, and contribution to the quality of public space. “This achievement also demonstrates that Indonesian infrastructure and landscape works can compete and receive appreciation at a global level,” Dian said in a statement on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
She added that the award is the result of collaboration and dedication from all parties involved in the construction of the Ceremonial Plaza, one of the iconic public spaces in the Nusantara Capital City area. According to her, the MLAA 2026 award is an appreciation of the collaboration and dedication of all Brantas Abipraya personnel in delivering infrastructure that not only serves a strategic function but also provides aesthetic value, sustainability, and social benefits for the community.
“The IKN Ceremonial Plaza is a symbol of how development can harmonise national identity, environmental preservation, and the needs of a modern public space,” Dian stated. She noted that the award is a source of pride not only for Brantas Abipraya but also for Indonesia. The international recognition shows that national infrastructure development now focuses not solely on construction aspects, but also on delivering high-quality public spaces that provide sustainable economic, social, and environmental benefits.
“This success further strengthens Brantas Abipraya’s commitment to continue delivering superior, innovative, and sustainable infrastructure works,” Dian said. “We believe that future infrastructure must be able to provide long-term benefits for the community, strengthen the nation’s competitiveness, and support the realisation of a more advanced Indonesia.”
Located in front of the State Palace and Garuda Palace, the Ceremonial Plaza is an integral part of the National Axis area, serving as the centre of state activities as well as the main public space in IKN.
