IKN Becomes a Tourist Paradise During Eid, Offering Everything from Culinary Delights to Entertainment
Nusantara, VIVA - The capital city of Nusantara or IKN was crowded with 143,126 residents during the Eid holiday season up to Tuesday, 24 March 2026. The density of IKN coincides with the complete facilities available in the new capital, such as places of worship, restaurants, cafes, minimarkets, as well as UMKM tents and stalls.
“Up to Tuesday, 24 March 2026, the number of vehicles entering the IKN area was recorded at 30,544 units, with a total of 143,126 visitors,” said Special Staff to the Head of the IKN Authority (OIKN) for Public Communications and Spokesperson for the IKN Authority, Troy Pantouw, on Thursday, 26 March 2026.
He continued that the IKN Authority (OIKN) continues to provide various complete and comfortable facilities for visitors. A variety of facilities and interesting activities are available to provide an enjoyable and informative experience for visitors.
Troy conveyed that the various facilities available in the IKN area are part of efforts to provide the best service, as they want to ensure that the public can enjoy their visit comfortably, safely, and memorably.
In this regard, IKN is not only a future government centre but also presented as an inclusive and educational public space for all levels of society.
“Along the Plaza Seremoni in the Government Centre Area, during the 2026 Eid holiday, visitors can enjoy a variety of culinary choices. From restaurants, cafes, minimarkets, to UMKM tents and stalls offering a range of light snacks, food, and drinks,” he said.
Not only that, Nusantara Park also features an entertainment stage showcasing music and dance performances that take place throughout the afternoon until evening, creating a lively and entertaining atmosphere.
For those who want to learn more about IKN, they can visit the Sentra Massa building which houses the Nusantara Information Center.
Inside, there is a mini theatre playing videos of the IKN construction progress journey, a mini control centre with weather monitors, environmental conditions, and traffic, as well as a model of buildings around Plaza Seremoni.
In addition, there are photo booth corners, UMKM product exhibitions, and interactive robots that distribute brochures to visitors.
“For children and families, there are various traditional games such as stilt walking, sack races, and gobak sodor that can be participated in at the amphitheatre area in front of Sentra Massa, which is located directly opposite the IKN State Palace,” said Troy.
