IKN Authority Records Private Investment Reaching IDR 72 Trillion by Early 2026
The Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN) has recorded private investment reaching IDR 72 trillion by early 2026. The investment is allocated for development in parts of North Penajam Paser Regency and East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province.
The Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, revealed that the newly signed investments this year include the construction of commercial and public service facilities, encompassing shopping centres, culinary areas, and sports facilities, spread across development areas 1A and 1C.
“The development of investment in IKN continues to show a positive trend,” he said, when asked about the investment in the construction of IKN in Sepaku, North Penajam Paser, Thursday, February 26, 2026.
He explained that the construction is being carried out by PT Panca Karya Sentosa, PT Maxi Nusantara Raya, and PT Borneo Berkah Abadi, which are bound by cooperation agreements, to encourage various investments into IKN and also provide supporting facilities for the community in the new Indonesian capital city.
All the projects carried out by the three companies in areas 1A and 1C support the daily needs of residents in the area, he said, including civil servants and the community in IKN.
As of early 2026, a total of 57 companies have committed to investing in the new Indonesian capital city, he added, with the value of pure private investment reaching around IDR 72 trillion.
The development of IKN is increasingly improving in terms of public and business confidence, and the IKN Authority ensures ease of licensing and investor assistance, so that project implementation can run faster and more effectively.
The development of commercial, social, and other supporting facilities is being accelerated to support the growth of the area’s ecosystem, said Basuki Hadimuljono, bringing economic activity and strengthening IKN’s appeal as a new centre of civilisation in Indonesia.
The presence of PT Maxi Nusantara Raya in IKN is not solely focused on profit, said a representative of the investor from PT Maxi Nusantara Raya, Suni Yuwono Kusbandi, but also plays a role as a contributor to the development of the IKN area. (Ant)
