IKIP PGRI Semarang hosts theater festival

SEMARANG: A four-day theater festival was held at IKIP PGRI
Semarang's auditorium on Jl. Lontar from Monday to Thursday under
the title of Panggung Perjamuan.

Four theater groups participated in the festival that was
organized by Teater Gema IKIP PGRI Semarang.

Teater Jejak of Surakarta Arts College (STSI Surakarta)
presented Wis (Done) on the first evening. Teater Gesang
presented Gatotkaca (Puber) (Gatotkaca's puberty) on Tuesday
evening. Kledo Expressive Art presented Kisah yang Terbunuh
(Story of the murdered) on Wednesday evening.

And Godlob by Teater Gema IKIP PGRI ended the festival on day
four. "We consider this festival a symbol of the resurgence of
theater in Semarang," said chairman of the festival's organizing
committee Abdillah. -- JP
