IKAPI to hold int'l book fair

JAKARTA (JP): The central board of the Indonesian Publishers'
Association is to hold its international book fair this year from
Sept. 11 to 15.

Chairman of the organizing committee, Setia Dharma Madjid,
said the fair at the Jakarta Fairground in Kemayoran, Central
Jakarta, is part of the latest effort to promote reading and
library visiting habits.

The 'IKAPI International Book Fair 1996' is co-organized with
the Book Reading Society Association, he said.

A number of recently founded book clubs in the country will
also participate in the event, he said.

However as of now only a French publisher has registered to
take part. (26)
