IKAPI to hold expo, essay competition

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Publishers Association (IKAPI)
will highlight its Sept. 11 to Sept. 19 book exhibitiom with an
essay competition for young people with the theme "Cultural
Diversity in Indonesia".

The event will be held at the indoor badminton court of the
Senayan sports complex in Central Jakarta.

The writing competition is divided into two different age
categories: those aged 16 to 20 years old and individuals between
21 and 25 years of age.

For individuals in the first category, the maximum length of
the essay is 10 pages, while in the second group the limit is 15
pages.

Those interested in participating in the competition can
submit or mail their essays to the committee office on Jl.
Mustika Jaya No. 9, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, by Aug. 14 at the
latest.

Trophies and cash prizes ranging between Rp 1 million to Rp
300,000 are waiting for the winners. Several of the best essays
