Ikadin to hold special congress

PONTIANAK, West Kalimantan: The Indonesian Bar Association (Ikadin) announced on Monday it would organize an extraordinary congress on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 to discuss Law No. 18/2003 on the legal profession.

Congress organizing committee chairman Tamsil Sjoekoer asked all members of Ikadin branches across the country to attend the meeting and discuss the issue.

The law orders the merger of all bar associations and legal consultant groups by April next year at the latest.
