IIMS Surabaya 2026 to Feature Chery Q's Debut Outside Jakarta

The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) Surabaya, running from 26 to 31 May 2026 at Grand City Convex, provides an opportunity for PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) to introduce its new electric vehicle, the Chery Q.

Chery Q’s appearance at IIMS Surabaya 2026 marks its first regional debut outside Jakarta, offering visitors a chance to see the compact electric vehicle firsthand.

Bobby Wirawan, Regional Manager of CSI, stated that Chery’s growth in East Java indicates a strong market potential, particularly among consumers seeking modern, comfortable, efficient, and value-for-money vehicles for daily and family use.

“Therefore, through IIMS Surabaya 2026, we are bringing our All Powertrain strategy closer to consumers to provide a wider range of mobility options tailored to their needs, while introducing the Chery Q as the ‘Most Complete Compact EV’ relevant for urban mobility,” he said on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

Surabaya is the first city chosen by Chery for its regional product launch. The city is considered a strategic market due to its significant potential and high urban productivity and mobility.

This aligns with the Chery Q, designed to meet increasingly practical urban mobility needs without compromising comfort and personal character for users.

The Chery Q combines a compact design with a 2,700 mm wheelbase to deliver a spacious and comfortable cabin.

For dynamic daily mobility, the Chery Q offers a range of up to 400km (NEDC) and fast charging from 30% to 80% in 16.5 minutes.
