IIMS Surabaya 2026 Officially Opens with Over 40 Brands Participating

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) Surabaya has officially opened. Located at Grand City Convex, the automotive exhibition will run from 26 to 31 May 2026. In his speech, East Java Provincial Industry and Trade Head Dr. Iwan, S.Hut said the provincial government welcomed the organisation of the IIMS Surabaya automotive exhibition. According to him, the exhibition is not merely an automotive festival but also a catalyst for East Java’s progress and competitiveness on both national and international stages. ‘IIMS Surabaya is not just a vehicle exhibition but also an opportunity to strengthen the automotive industry. The hope is that this event will generate economic activity beneficial to the province,’ he said on Tuesday (26/5/2026). ‘The automotive industry and East Java are closely linked. Like a vehicle’s engine supported by infrastructure and a large market potential, the automotive industry is one of the driving forces behind the national economy and East Java’s economy, particularly Surabaya,’ Daswar said. This year, IIMS Surabaya 2026 features over 40 brands, comprising 14 four-wheel brands, 15 two-wheel brands, 13 aftermarket brands, and more than 20 food and beverage tenants. The event is being held on a larger scale with expanded exhibition areas and a duration of six days. Exhibition Hall 2 is dedicated to passenger cars and aftermarket products. Additionally, there will be outdoor areas for test drives and test rides, an Infinite Live zone, and food and beverage outlets designed to provide a more comprehensive and comfortable visitor experience. Visitors can also enjoy various new programmes and community activities, in addition to experiencing driving at the test drive and test ride areas. Various attractive promotions prepared by each brand are also available.
