IIMS: Female Visitors Reach 33 Per Cent, Special Programme to Be Introduced
JAKARTA — The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026 has not only recorded high transaction values but also demonstrated a notable shift in visitor demographics. One prominent trend is the increasing participation of women at the automotive exhibition.
Rudi MF, Project Manager of IIMS 2026, stated that the proportion of female visitors at the exhibition has continued to increase over recent years. Currently, women represent approximately one-third of total visitors.
According to him, the rising number of female visitors signals that interest in the automotive sector is no longer exclusively male-dominated. Women are now increasingly active in seeking vehicle information, whether for personal mobility needs or family requirements.
In response to this trend, the organisers plan to prepare programmes more relevant to the female segment at the next IIMS event. These programmes will include various activities and event content tailored to the needs of female visitors.
“There will be a dedicated area targeting women, including event content specifically designed for them,” said Rudi.
He added that the increasing participation of women aligns with developments in the automotive industry that increasingly emphasise lifestyle, comfort, and user-friendly technology.
