Jakarta – The Indonesia International Motor Show 2026, held on 15–25 February 2026, recorded transaction value of IDR 9.5 trillion. The figure encompasses vehicle sales and food and beverage (F&B) sector transactions.

This achievement represents an increase compared to the previous year’s event, which recorded approximately IDR 8 trillion in transactions.

Beyond transaction value, visitor numbers remained substantial. The exhibition attracted 580,250 visitors throughout its run, a modest increase from the previous year’s 579,337 visitors.

“Visitors exceeded half a million, and follow-up transactions reached IDR 9.5 trillion, surpassing last year,” said Daswar in Jakarta on Thursday (12 March 2026).

In addition to transaction value and visitor numbers, organisers also recorded increased sales across various vehicle categories during the exhibition. Car sales rose approximately 15.91 percent compared to the previous year.

Stronger growth occurred in electrified vehicles. Electric car sales increased approximately 31.83 percent, whilst motorcycles rose 67.90 percent.

The electric motorcycle segment posted the highest growth, with an increase of 96.54 percent compared to the previous year.

The positive trend in national vehicle sales is also reflected in data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers (Gaikindo). Factory-to-dealer distribution (wholesales) reached 81,159 units, rising approximately 22 percent compared to January 2026.

Meanwhile, dealer-to-consumer sales (retail sales) reached 78,219 units, increasing approximately 17 percent compared to the previous month.

IIMS 2026 introduced an innovative sportainment concept, integrating sporting activities such as padel and golf into the automotive exhibition to attract visitor interest.

According to Daswar, the strategy aimed to maintain momentum in automotive industry development through a consistently held annual exhibition platform.

“We believe the automotive industry cannot stall, and a platform like IIMS helps sustain industry development momentum year after year,” said Daswar.
