Jakarta (ANTARA) - The President Director & CEO of PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF), Rizki Pribadi Hasan, stated that the company has officially obtained Accredited Entity (AE) status from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) as of 1 July 2026, which will expand access to global funding sources.

The GCF is the world’s largest climate fund, established under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

“Obtaining Accredited Entity status from the Green Climate Fund is a strategic step for IIF to expand access to global funding sources. This accreditation strengthens our capacity to provide more innovative and integrated financing solutions for clients and partners, aiming to accelerate sustainable infrastructure development that provides real benefits to society and the environment,” Rizki stated in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

As an Accredited Entity, he continued, IIF can now access GCF funding of up to US$250 million per proposal for loan and guarantee instruments, as well as up to US$50 million per proposal for equity participation instruments.

This access enables IIF to develop innovative financing structures, including blended finance schemes, to enhance project viability and accelerate the implementation of green infrastructure projects that support Indonesia’s sustainable development agenda.

According to Rizki, this accreditation will strengthen IIF’s ability to provide more comprehensive solutions for clients and infrastructure project partners.

“This achievement is international recognition of IIF’s robust governance framework, institutional capacity, fiduciary standards, environmental and social risk management systems, and commitment to gender equality in supporting sustainable infrastructure development in Indonesia,” he said.

Furthermore, this achievement is considered aligned with IIF’s solid business performance throughout 2026. Up to August 2026, IIF has recorded nine new financing transactions with a total value of Rp3.2 trillion in strategic sectors, including healthcare, ports and logistics, renewable energy, telecommunications and data centres, as well as waste and water management.

In the first half of 2026, IIF also secured eight new advisory mandates, including involvement in the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) programme.

Regarding funding, IIF is said to be further strengthening its funding structure through a US$30 million loan facility, a Term Loan & Treasury Line facility of Rp500 billion, and the issuance of the first stage of Perpetual Bonds through a Sustainable Public Offering worth Rp220 billion.

In addition to business achievements, IIF has also received several prestigious awards. This includes the Cybersecurity Innovation Award at the Asian Banking and Finance FinTech Awards 2026 for its commitment to strengthening cyber resilience and digital security.

IIF also received international recognition by being shortlisted for the In-House General Counsel Award category at The Asia Legal Awards 2026, reflecting the strength of its legal function and corporate governance practices in supporting sustainable business growth.

“The achievements reached throughout this year demonstrate that the demand for sustainable financing and advisory solutions continues to increase. With the support of shareholders, regulators, financial institutions, investors, and strategic partners, we will continue to strengthen IIF’s role as a development partner that bridges Indonesia’s infrastructure needs with global funding and expertise,” he concluded.
