IHSG weakens to 6,127 level this week

The IndonesiaStock Exchange Composite Index (IHSG) weakened this week, closing at 6,162.04 on 25-29 May 2026, a 0.56% decline from the previous week. Despite the drop, the IndonesiaStockExchange (BEI) noted positive data for the week.

Trading on the exchange closed in mixed zones, with average daily transaction value and market capitalisation rising. However, average daily transaction frequency and volume decreased compared to the previous week.

Average daily transaction value increased by 30.37% to Rp 28.38 trillion from Rp 21.77 trillion the previous week. “Market capitalisation also rose by 0.88% to Rp 10.729 trillion from Rp 10.635 trillion last week,” BEI stated in a release on Saturday, 30 May 2026.

Meanwhile, average daily transaction frequency fell 10.87% to 2.11 million trades from 2.37 million last week. Average daily transaction volume declined by 15.60% to 30.95 billion shares from 36.67 billion shares the previous week.

The stock market faced selling pressure this week. By Friday, 29 May 2026, foreign investors recorded net selling of Rp 8.519 trillion, adding to their cumulative net selling of Rp 53.971 trillion for 2026.
