The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed sharply higher on Monday (15/6/2026), surging 247.31 points or 4.12% to 6,254.97. During the session, the index touched a daily high of 6,345.80 before paring some gains in the second session.

Transaction value reached Rp30.06 trillion, with a trading volume of 50.11 billion shares and a frequency of 3.19 million trades. A total of 633 stocks advanced, 133 declined, and 193 remained unchanged.

Despite some profit-taking in the second session, most sectors ended in positive territory. The basic materials sector led gains with a 7.47% increase, followed by the financial sector up 4.82%, utilities up 3.87%, and consumer non-cyclicals up 3.76%.

In terms of index contributors, banking stocks were the main driver of the IHSG’s rally. PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA) was the largest contributor, adding 32.79 points. It was followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI) with 23.47 points, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI) with 21.95 points, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBNI) with 7.77 points.

Other stocks that supported the IHSG’s advance included PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk. (BRMS) contributing 19.51 points, PT Capital Financial Indonesia Tbk. (CASA) 16.28 points, PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk. (AMMN) 10.03 points, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM) 7.31 points, and PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk. (BREN) 6.27 points.

Meanwhile, foreign investors recorded net purchases of Rp257.8 billion across all markets during the first session. According to Indo Premier data, foreign transaction value in the first session reached Rp10.7 trillion, comprising foreign buy of Rp5.5 trillion and foreign sell of Rp5.2 trillion. Overall, the first session’s transaction pattern showed foreign investors aggressively targeting banking and commodity stocks. The largest foreign accumulation occurred in PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk. (TPIA) with a value of Rp300.8 billion, followed by BBCA at Rp262.8 billion and BMRI at Rp246.8 billion. Foreign investors also collected shares of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (ANTM) worth Rp126.5 billion, PT Barito Pacific Tbk. (BRPT) Rp43.1 billion, and PT Timah Tbk. (TINS) Rp37.9 billion.
