IHSG Slumps as Foreign Investors Net Sell in Several Stocks; Here Is the List
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed in negative territory on Tuesday (3 March 2026), after opening higher in the early session. The weakness continued the correction that occurred in the previous trading day. According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the IHSG fell 77.06 points or 0.96 percent to the level of 7,939.76. During the session, the index moved within a range of 7,932 to 8,098.
Trading activity was fairly busy. Total traded volume reached 47.19 billion shares with a value of Rp 29.88 trillion.
In terms of movement of stocks, selling pressure continued to dominate the market. A total of 347 stocks fell, while 343 rose and 128 closed flat.
Here are the 10 stocks with the largest net sell by foreign investors on Tuesday:
PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) at Rp 463.09 billion, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) at Rp 279.4 billion, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) at Rp 187.97 billion, PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (AADI) at Rp 127.83 billion.
Then, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) at Rp 123.44 billion, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) at Rp 88.2 billion, PT Timah Tbk (TINS) at Rp 81.66 billion, PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) at Rp 66.77 billion, PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) at Rp 41.85 billion, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) at Rp 40.76 billion.
For information, the IHSG slumped sharply at the start of trading on Wednesday (4 March 2026). The index fell 279.034 points or 3.51 percent to the level of 7,660.732 as of 10.16 WIB, an hour after the market opened.
Based on BEI data, the IHSG opened at the position of 7,896.377 and briefly touched the highest level 7,897.812. However the selling pressure caused the index to continue to fall to the lowest level at 7,639.894.
Trading activity was also quite high with a volume of 22.449 billion shares and a value of Rp 11.350 trillion, which occurred in 1,353,619 transactions.
