IHSG Slumps 3.54 Per Cent to 6,094.642 Level

Jakarta — The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) slumped at the start of the afternoon trading session on Thursday, 21 May 2026. At 14:12 WIB, the index fell 3.54 per cent to 6,094.642. The sharp decline extended the correction trend since this morning’s opening, after it briefly touched a high of 6,378.811 before continuing to slide to a low of 6,080.954. Selling pressure was broad-based across almost all stock sectors, with 660 stocks down, 84 up, and 71 unchanged. All sectors were in the red. The raw materials sector plunged 7.36 per cent, the energy sector dropped 6.34 per cent, cyclic consumer goods fell 5.30 per cent, followed by infrastructure at 5.27 per cent, and transport and logistics down 4.93 per cent. Pressure also spread to the industrial sector down 4.79 per cent and the property sector by 3.59 per cent, while the financial sector declined 1.56 per cent. The health and non-primer consumer sectors fell 1.88 per cent each, while the technology sector declined 1.45 per cent.
