IHSG Plunges Below 7,000: Check These 3 Resilient Stocks

Jakarta, VIVA - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) continued to experience a sustained decline, plunging below the 7,000 level. The IHSG fell 0.79 per cent or 55.77 points to 6,971 during the first trading session on Monday, 6 April 2026.

The IHSG was observed moving in the range of 7.009 to its lowest point at 6.935. The transaction value was recorded at Rp 8.45 trillion, with a daily trading volume of 16.57 billion shares and 1.01 million transactions.

The non-cyclical consumer sector experienced the deepest drop of 1.40 per cent. Other sectors that recorded sharp declines included transportation, which fell 1.37 per cent, and infrastructure, which weakened by 1.32 per cent.

Nevertheless, the cyclical consumer sector declined by 1.61 per cent. Positive results were also recorded in the industrial sector at 1.43 per cent and the energy sector rose 0.51 per cent.

Analysts from Phintraco Sekuritas observed that, technically, the formation of a positive histogram on the MACD is tending to shrink. The Stochastic RSI indicator has the potential for a Death Cross in the overbought area.

“Therefore, we predict that the IHSG has the potential to move in the range of 6,950-7,000 during the second trading session,” stated an analyst from Phintraco Sekuritas, quoted from their daily research on Monday, 6 April 2026.

PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI)

BUMI shares surged 6.14 per cent or 14 points to 242.

PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN)

AMMN shares strengthened 2.98 per cent or 140 points to 4,840.

PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA)

PTBA shares rose 2.75 per cent or 80 points, breaking through the 2,990 area.
