IHSG Opens Up 1.72 Percent to the 7,707 Level

Jakarta, Kompas.com – The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) rose in early trading on Thursday (5 March 2026). Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) at around 09:10 WIB, the IHSG climbed 130.52 points or 1.72% to 7,707.58. The index opened at 7,695.35, higher than the previous close at 7,577.06. In the early session, it traded in a range of 7,681.69 to 7,765.61. Trading activity appeared fairly active in the early session, with a volume of 4.615 billion shares and a value of around Rp 2.650 trillion. The number of trades stood at 252,100. Market capitalisation hovered around Rp 13,722 trillion. The gains in the IHSG aligned with most major indices: the LQ45 rose 1.69% to 785.52, the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) advanced 2.07% to 515.40. The Kompas100 also rose 1.91% to 1,078.51. The Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) added 1.97% to 272.87, while IDX30 gained 1.90% to 417.88 and JII70 rose 1.98% to 195.80. Market participants continued to monitor global and domestic sentiment that could influence the direction of movements in the index throughout the day.
