The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) opened in the red on Wednesday morning. Based on trading data, the Indonesian capital market benchmark index experienced a significant correction in the opening minutes.
The IHSG opened down 41.65 points, or 0.65%. With this decline, the index currently stands at 6,408.18. This movement indicates fairly strong selling pressure at the start of today’s trading session.
The IHSG’s weakness this morning is in line with cautious market conditions. Investors appear to be weighing various sentiments, from domestic economic developments to global market fluctuations that affect risk appetite in emerging markets.

Market participants are advised to continue monitoring trading volume and the movement of blue-chip stocks that carry significant weight in the index to gauge the IHSG’s direction until the close of the first session.
