IHSG Opens In The Red, Down 0.41% To 7,678
The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) opened weaker in early trading on Friday (6 March 2026). Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) at around 09:04 WIB, the IHSG stood at 7,678.59, down 31.95 points or 0.41% from the previous close. It opened at 7,699.47, lower than the previous close of 7,710.54. In the early session, the index briefly touched a high of 7,700.32 and a low of 7,634.69. Activity in the early session was fairly brisk. The traded volume was about 2.11 billion shares with a value of Rp 1.057 trillion. The frequency of trades reached 135,900. In terms of stock movement, 187 shares rose, 317 fell, and 454 were unchanged, indicating selling pressure still dominating the market in the early trading. The IHSG weakness was in line with the majority of major indices. The LQ45 fell 0.42% to 784.55. The Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) weakened 0.59% to 510.93. The KOMPAS100 also fell 0.47% to 1,071.65, while the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) declined 0.39% to 271.62. The IDX30 dropped 0.33% to 417.65 and the JII70 was down 0.46% at 194.45.
