IHSG Opens Higher Today at 6,946.85

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) opened higher at the start of trading today, Tuesday (12/5/2026). The IHSG opened at 6,946.85, higher than the previous close at 6,905.62. Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) around 09:22 WIB, the IHSG fell 1.18 per cent or 81.79 points to 6,823.83. Throughout the early trading session, the index moved in the range of 6,819.10 to 6,977.29. Trading frequency was recorded at 437,400 transactions. Market capitalisation was in the range of Rp 12.109 trillion. A total of 192 stocks strengthened, 407 stocks weakened, and 360 stocks remained unchanged. This composition shows that the majority of stocks were in the red zone. The KOMPAS100 also fell 1 per cent to 906.16, while the IDX30 declined 0.9 per cent to 372.61. Meanwhile, the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) weakened by 0.58 per cent to 444.28, and the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) dropped 1.39 per cent to 246.79.
