The IHSG opened 11 points or 0.19 percent higher at 6,010 at the start of trading on Friday, 26 June 2026.

Retail Research Analyst at BNI Sekuritas, Muhammad Lutfi Permana, predicted the IHSG has the potential to continue its rise during today’s trading. “Today the IHSG has the potential to continue its limited increase,” Lutfi said in his daily research note on Friday.

He noted that the majority of Asian markets strengthened during Thursday’s trading. Japan’s Nikkei 225 index surged 4.61 percent, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 1.43 percent. Taiwan’s Taiex rose 0.46 percent, South Korea’s Kospi jumped 5.42 percent, Australia’s ASX 200 declined 0.68 percent, the Straits Times added 0.06 percent, and Malaysia’s FTSE decreased 1.09 percent.

Meanwhile, the performance of Asian markets followed optimism on Wall Street after Micron revealed that customers had committed to purchasing its memory chips worth US$22 billion. On the other hand, Qualcomm projected data centre business revenue to reach US$15 billion by 2029.

“IHSG support is at the 5,960-5,920 level, while resistance is in the 6,060-6,120 range,” he stated.

For information, the main Wall Street indices closed mixed during Thursday’s trading, dragged down by a decline in major technology stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.14 percent, the S&P 500 edged down 0.01 percent, and the Nasdaq Composite weakened 0.46 percent. The movement was led by industrial stocks, which rose 2.2 percent. Consumer discretionary and consumer staples stocks recorded the largest declines, while technology stocks fell 0.1 percent. Additionally, Apple shares plunged 6.1 percent after the company raised prices for iPads and MacBooks to offset rising costs for memory and storage chips.
