JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) strengthened by 0.41% to the level of 7,101.226 at the close of trading on Wednesday (29/4/2026), even as there was selling pressure from foreign investors in the domestic market.

Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), foreign investors recorded a net sell or net selling of Rp 1.19 trillion across the entire market.

In detail, the net sell by foreigners in the regular market was Rp 987 billion. Then, the net sell by foreigners in the cash market and negotiation market amounted to Rp 205.14 billion.

In addition, pressure also occurred on the shares of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) and PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) at Rp 68 billion and Rp 49 billion respectively.

In Wednesday’s trading, major banking and commodity shares were uniformly under pressure.

BMRI shares closed flat at Rp 4,430, after briefly touching the Rp 4,520 area at the start of the session.

BBCA shares corrected by 0.42% to Rp 5,975.

Throughout the trading, these shares moved in a downward trend from the Rp 6,025 area.

Pressure was also evident on BBRI, which closed at Rp 3,070.

Although it briefly strengthened to Rp 3,110, BBRI shares weakened again and moved sideways in the lower zone.

In the commodities sector, ANTM shares experienced a fairly deep correction of 3.96% to Rp 3,880.

These shares gradually declined from the Rp 4,040 level.

In line, PTRO shares also weakened by 2.73% to the level of 5,350.

After briefly being in the Rp 5,600 area, these shares experienced a downward trend and closed near the day’s lowest level.

On the other hand, foreign investors continued to accumulate several commodity- and energy-based shares.

Shares of PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (AADI) recorded a net buy or net purchase of Rp 54 billion, followed by PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) at Rp 32 billion.

Then, PT Timah Tbk (TINS) at Rp 31 billion.

In addition, shares of PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) and PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk (EMAS) also recorded net purchases of Rp 27 billion and Rp 24 billion respectively.
