“After initially advancing during the first session, the IHSG traded in negative territory throughout the second session,” said the Phintraco Securities analysis team in its daily research on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

The Phintraco Securities team noted that investors have shifted towards short-term trading strategies amidst heightened uncertainty surrounding conflict between the United States and Israel with Iran, coupled with the approach of the Eid holidays commencing mid-next week.

On a technical basis, the Stochastic RSI and MACD indicators remained relatively weak. The IHSG managed to advance to the 7,520 level before closing once again in negative territory.

Asian stock indices closed with mixed results on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, whilst the majority of European indices opened lower amid intensifying military operations in the Middle East.

Three vessels off the Iranian coast have been struck by projectiles near the Strait of Hormuz. Shipping traffic through the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz has virtually halted since the United States and Israel conducted aerial strikes on Iran on 28 February 2026.
