The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) recorded negative performance at the opening of trading today. Based on market data, the IHSG declined by 2.07% to 6,989.27 at 09:50 Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

This significant correction indicates widespread selling pressure in the domestic stock exchange. It is worth noting that KOSPI, Sensex, SSE, and several other Asian stock exchange indices have experienced continued declines over recent days due to escalating conflict in the Middle East.

Top-Losing Stocks

In line with the weakening benchmark index, a number of stocks recorded significant price declines and entered the top losers list.

The decline range among these stocks hovered around 14%, approaching or touching the lower automatic rejection limit (ARB) in accordance with the daily percentage decline limits for each price fraction.

PT Pool Advista Finance Tbk (POLA) led the list of stocks with the deepest percentage decline, falling 14.94% to Rp 74 per share. Following POLA, shares of PT Nusantara Almazia Tbk (NZIA) and PT Alakasa Industrindo Tbk (ALKA) declined by 14.73% and 14.68% respectively.

The following is a detailed breakdown of the performance of the 10 stocks with the steepest declines (top losers) today:

Transaction Liquidity Varies

Despite the ten stocks above posting nearly uniform percentage declines, data revealed significant disparities in transaction values. PT Bersama Zatta Jaya Tbk (ZATA) recorded the highest transaction value on this list, reaching Rp 91.12 billion.

Conversely, PT Maha Properti Indonesia Tbk (MPRO), which has the largest nominal share price (Rp 9,400), recorded only Rp 1.88 million in transaction value.

This indicates that the price decline in these shares occurred with very minimal liquidity or volume of share transfers due to a scarcity of shares placed in the bid-offer area.
