JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) weakened during Thursday’s trading (26/3/2026), dropping 138.03 points or 1.89% to the level of 7,164.09.

The IHSG’s decline aligned with net selling actions by foreign investors amounting to Rp 20.71 trillion across the entire market. The largest selling pressure occurred in the cash and negotiated markets at Rp 18.78 trillion, while in the regular market, net selling stood at Rp 1.93 trillion.

Stocks with the largest net sells by foreign investors included PT FAP Agri Tbk (FAPA) at Rp 18.8 trillion, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) at Rp 555.5 billion, and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) at Rp 201.4 billion.

On the other hand, several stocks recorded net buys from foreigners, including PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (AADI) at Rp 171.9 billion, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) at Rp 64.3 billion, and PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) at Rp 37.3 billion.

Throughout the trading session, the index moved in a consistent downward trend, after opening at 7,313.665 and reaching a high of 7,323.702 early in the session.

However, selling pressure began to dominate from morning to midday, pushing the IHSG down gradually until it hit a low of 7,152.592.

From a trading activity perspective, the transaction volume reached 31.14 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp 32.35 trillion, and a frequency of 1.72 million transactions.

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) market capitalisation only reached Rp 12,620.998 trillion.
