IHSG Falls 1.62% to 7,585.69 as Majority of Sectors Decline

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed lower on Friday trading (6 March 2026). According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the IHSG fell by 124.85 points, or 1.62%, to 7,585.69.

The IHSG opened at 7,699.47, lower than the previous close of 7,710.54. During the session, the index reached an intraday high of 7,700.32 and a low of 7,500.09.

Total trading volume reached 31.09 billion shares, with a turnover of Rp 13.62 trillion and a frequency of 1.893 million trades. Market capitalisation was around Rp 13,626 trillion.

Several major indices closed lower. LQ45 fell 11.77 points to 776.05. KOMPAS100 declined 17.15 points to 1,059.61. IDX30 also weakened by 8.93 points to 410.10.

The shariah stock indices also ended in the red. The Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) declined 7.29 points to 506.68. The Jakarta Islamic Index 70 (JII70) fell 3.01 points to 192.33, while the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) retreated 2.08% to 267.00.

IHSG weakness aligned with the majority of sectors closing in the red. The industrials sector posted the deepest decline, down 65.52 points or 3.37% to 1,876.66.

The basic materials sector also weakened by 49.78 points or 2.23% to 2,182.80. The infrastructure sector dropped 36.81 points or 1.77% to 2,046.37, while the financial sector fell 16.86 points or 1.19% to 1,399.73.

The property sector declined 13.64 points or 1.37% to 981.17, the health sector slipped about 1.02% to 1,862.07, and the non-cyclical consumer sector retreated 4.97 points or 0.68% to 729.58.

Meanwhile, the technology sector fell 33.51 points or 0.42% to 7,857.05 and the transportation sector weakened 5.78 points or 0.31% to 1,871.59.

Shares of PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) also rose 3.85% to Rp 26,975 per share, followed by PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) up 1.90% to Rp 1,340 per share.

PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) also rose 1.87% to Rp 1,360 per share, while PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) gained 0.80% to Rp 6,275 per share.

Shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) fell 4.89% to Rp 1,555 per share, followed by PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) down 4.55% to Rp 735 per share.

PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) also declined 4.26% to Rp 1,125 per share, while PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) eased 3.16% to Rp 6,125 per share.
