IHSG falls 0.56% in shortened week as market capitalisation rises to Rp 10.729 trillion

Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) recorded the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) for the shortened week ending 25-29 May 2026 with mixed results. Trading was effective for only three days this week due to the Eid al-Adha holiday on Wednesday, 27 May 2026 (1447 Hijriah), followed by a public holiday on Thursday, 28 May.

The IHSG fell 0.56% over the week, down from last week’s closing level of 6,162.38. Market capitalisation rose 0.88% to Rp 10.729 trillion, up from Rp 10.635 trillion the previous week.

Average daily transaction value increased 30.37% to Rp 28.38 trillion, compared to Rp 21.77 trillion the prior week. However, average daily transaction frequency fell 10.87% to 2.11 million trades, down from 2.37 million. Trading volume also decreased 15.60% to 30.95 billion shares, from 36.67 billion shares the previous week.

Foreign investors recorded a net selling of Rp 8.51 trillion this week, bringing their total net selling for 2026 to Rp 53.97 trillion.
