JAKARTA – The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed higher in trading on Thursday (9/4/2026). According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the IHSG rose 28.38 points or 0.39% to the level of 7,307.59. The IHSG opened at 7,238.46, lower than the previous close of 7,279.21. Throughout the trading session, the index reached a high of 7,308.58 and a low of 7,191.59. The total volume of shares traded on the exchange amounted to 26.90 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp16.98 trillion. Trading frequency was recorded at 2.209 million times, with a market capitalisation of Rp12,931 trillion. Several major indices moved variably. The LQ45 rose slightly by 0.04% to 733.90, while the IDX30 weakened by 1.45% to 393.00. The KOMPAS100 strengthened by 0.31% to 1,009.44. The Sharia index also recorded gains, with the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) rising 1.89% to 507.58. The Indonesia Syariah Stock Index (ISSI) strengthened by 1.34% to 264.12, while JII70 rose 1.26% to 191.87. The basic materials sector also rose by 0.28%. On the other hand, the financial sector was the biggest drag with a correction of 1.23%. The non-cyclical consumer goods sector fell 0.58%, and the property sector weakened by 0.46%. Among the LQ45 constituents, shares in the top gainers included PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA), which surged 16.42% to Rp3,120 per share. Then, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) rose 14.00% to Rp5,700, and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) strengthened 5.10% to Rp1,855. Meanwhile, the top losers were led by PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA), which fell 4.49% to Rp745, followed by PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) weakening 4.17% to Rp1,265. Next, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) dropped 4.07% to Rp6,475, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) corrected 3.46% to Rp30,025, and PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) fell 3.40% to Rp1,135.
